A FINE LINE

A night of vampy looks and sultry glances.

 

    First, I want to apologize for the slightly grainy photos, the pictures were taken at dusk and I had to adjust the exposure quite a bit to avoid looking like I was lurking in the shadows. For the last and best night of Art Hearts Fashion SS16 shows (review to come soon), I chose to "vamp" it up with dark lipstick and heavy eyeliner to contrast against my grayscale outfit. 

    I like to play around with textures when it comes to styling an outfit. The leather jacket with the ribbed top and cotton skirt gave this outfit a good mix of tough-meets-girly. 

    My favorite trend lately has been the half-adorned jacket. Of course, realistically-speaking the jacket won't stay half-on (or half-off, depending on how you see it) if you're walking around. BUT for picture purposes, the half-on jacket trend seems to be the perfect way to show off your complete outfit as well as give others a peek of what's underneath. Not to mention having a jacket on your shoulders seem a little empowering as well, much like shoulder pads of the 19th century. *Queue superhero-esque poses*
