NYFW: JONATHAN SIMKHAI RTW FALL 2017

For the bold, head-strong, statement-makers. 

For the change-makers. 

For the leaders.

Jonathan Simkhai does it again. Each model strode down the runway to a mesmerizing arabian beat in designs that were delicate, tough, and luxe all at once. The delicacy of sheer, translucent fabrics combined with the luxury of fur and satin juxtaposed with loud embellishments and strong suits served to embody Simkhai's vision of the fierce, contemporary woman. 

This season, Simkhai drew much inspiration from 19th century Spain. From the sand-dune neutral color palette to the designer's signature flared silhouettes, the Simkhai woman is tenacious, strong-willed, and compassionate. She enters the room to speak her mind and leaves a trail of influence. She is the voice of every woman.

The overall collection definitely made a loud statement and successfully spoke to the modern woman who knows no bounds.

Simkhai walked out in a casual "Feminist AF" tee, which he also gifted to each front row attendee. The simple white tee-shirt with bold, black lettering tied in with the designer's message of women empowerment. The shirt can be bought on his website for $95, with all proceeds going to Planned Parenthood.
