LUXE

It's day two here in San Francisco for me and my friends, and I'm starting to think the weather here is really not that bad. In fact, I could say it's quite similar to the chilliness of L.A nights currently, with wind thrown in. Wandered the city and piers of San Francisco today, I learned a few things. 1) there will never be enough perfectly plain walls throughout a city for blogging pictures, 2) The $4.25 churros of SF do not live up to the taste of even half of its worth, 3) Taking Instagram pictures from the sunroof of a car while driving on the Golden Gate Bridge runs the possibility of having your new iPhone being blown away into the bay, and 4) You can never eat enough seafood or sourdough bread here. ever.

Bare Necessities

Chanel fold-up flats | Apple iPhone 6 | Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet | Aldo handbag | Book by Christine Montross

I am proud to announce that my blogging business is back! I have invested in a new remodeling of my blog and image, and will be working toward a more minimalistic direction of clean lines and simplicity at its finest. On the topic of simplicity, my friends and I have decided to take a New Year's road trip to San Francisco, and since we are squeezing into a compact car, I have decided to pack the bare necessities (unless you count my overstuffed suitcase of clothing of course). A good book to read for on the road, a pair of throw-on flats for when your trendy shoes are getting to be a little suffocating, a wallet for all your splurging needs, a carry-all bag, and of course the handy dandy new iPhone for convenient picture-taking and social-mediaing (and yes, that is a made-up word). Follow me throughout my adventures through my Instagram and my blog posts here!

OC Fair take #2

Romwe sunnies (similar here & here) | Vintage shorts | thrifted mesh top (similar here) | City Hunter cap
The fitting casual throw-on outfit for a hot, long, and tiring day wandering the OC Fair for the second time this month, mostly on the hunt for the sought-after Fried Cookie Dough. Yes, me and my group of friends did wander the entire park looking for those measly three bites of unhealthy goodness. For eight dollars and a degree of exhaustion, we finally got what we were looking for after asking an employee at a random food station. For any of you who are interested, Fried Cookie Dough is located at "Chicken Charlie's"- why a chicken shack is the only place that serves the bombtastic dessert is beyond me. On a side note, if you are looking for that 'Parental Advisory' top from my previous blog post at a lower price, you can get it for only $34 here! (your welcome) Enjoy the last few weeks of your summer shenanigans!

Spending a cool summer evening at Downtown Brea sipping mocha milkshakes from Bruxies and nibbling macaroons from Merely Sweets while admiring the unfitting yet beautiful christmas lights adorning the summer palm trees brings me to one conclusion: Days like these with friends like that are truly irreplacable, and these calm, normal, blissful moments are what need to be treasured for a lifetime. I am lucky enough to be going through one of the most memorable stages of life at this time- the summer between high school graduation and entering college as a newborn freshman is infamous for breeding crazy summer nights full of spontaneity and adventure, two things just about any teenager with their head screwed on right would crave. I've got a little more than a month left of this stage in life, and I hope to make the most of it, and I promise to make my best efforts in documenting these moments on my Twitter and Instagram! Then again, I believe that the most memorable experiences don't require a camera or tweet- simply just being there and reveling in that moment can make a memory all the more stronger. So here goes adventure and craziness and screams and thrills. Here goes everything and nothing and all that comes in between.

Explicit Content

A fitting label for the common reckless teenager, or should I say adult? At this stage in life between high school graduation and the entering of college as a reborn freshman, I am both nervous and excited. It's unreal how fast life is moving- just a few months ago I was nearing the end of almost 13 years of schooling, all to work towards getting an acceptance to yet another four years or so of schooling.. Is this what life comes to? For us to work hard for high scores so we can get into good schools to work even harder so that we can earn money to pay for what we worked hard for? It's a never ending cycle and we perpetuate it because we are the cycle. So us young adults, we the young and reckless, we like to deviate from the norm, and give our older generation a taste of this so-called 'explicit content' we somehow manage to manifest through the way we dress, talk, or act. Here goes nothing as I enter the next stage in life, parental guidance strongly advised.

A sunny and windy out in the valley, Palms Springs was definitely a good stop, even if I wasn't there to attend Coachella or Stagecoach.. I am now in pursuit of more event planning and hosting, and currently have three big events lined. I'm talking galas, dances, cocktail events. If you're interested in attending an international socialite's gala on June 6th, 2014, contact me directly via e-mail. I will be posting more information and invites on my facebook page- take the chance to attend one or more to promote your blog and do some social networking while having fun!

Definitely the best show of the night all-around. The intense music, makeup, attractive male models, and the styling entranced me and left me wanting more after the show was over all too soon. I fell in love with the Nigerian-inspired makeup that made the whole NOMAD collection all the more rustic and wild, complementing the functional-meets-fashion rider look. The teased hair and dreadlocks in addition to the wild splash of makeup along with scarves and helmets added to the mysteriousness of each look, leaving the audience wanting each model to stay on that runway for just a bit longer. I'm not a man, but I'd definitely purchase one of their pieces for a man in my life!

Emily Deccarett F/W 2014

daccarett1daccarett2daccarett3daccarett6daccarett7daccarett5daccarett8daccarett4deccarett10

One of my favorite shows of the evening- each piece was something I wish I could rip off the runway models and stash in my bag.. along with their makeup. The highlight of their makeup was the glitter under their eyes- it made their eyes stand out no matter what color they were. I'm only regretting that I didn't get to take a good close-up picture of one of their faces. This show was my favorite of the night, Emily Daccarett definitely has found a new dedicated fan/follower in me. With crop cuts and flowy fabrics with just the right amount of skin, every piece was to-die-for and something I could see in my closet! Glad I attended this show, it wasn't one to miss!

Neutral Pallete

Playing around with neutral palettes as the heat is on the rise here in L.A. Not that I'm complaining- these days call for spontaneous trips to the beach and milkshakes on the pier, and warm summer-like nights in preparation for what is about to be one of my best summers yet! In a few weeks I'll have decided which college to go to, and where- I've always an East Coast girl at heart, but financially and realistically, I might just have to stay in California for a good two years before East Coast can become a reality for me. I'm California born and raised, and who knows? I might just decide to stay in Cali for the long run!
